Very Hungry Caterpillar 1st Birthday party | Invitations
For my son's first birthday party, I decide to do the theme of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. Of course, I found the idea on Pinterest and used one specific person's Caterpillar party as pinspiration.
The first thing I needed to tackle was the invitation. Now, I am very handy with Microsoft Word and photoshop so I was able to easily recreate this invitation:

We also decided to make some special invitations to hand out for the other kids and babies invited to the party. These were made with mason jars. The leaves are simply shapes cut out of green paper. I also used a hole punch to punch three holes in the leaf to look like caterpillar bites. On one side of the leaf said "You're invited . . ."; the other side had the party details.
I cut out different color circles with the kids' names to place in the lids of the mason jars.
Also inside the mason jars, I made caterpillars out of modeling clay and pipe cleaners for the antennas.
